Wallace Monument
Updated: Nov 14, 2019
I recently got the chance to use my drone at The National Wallace Monument with a friend. We only had a short period of time however I managed to grab the following photographs and video :)
Information: The National Wallace Monument is a tower standing on the shoulder of the Abbey Craig, a hilltop overlooking Stirling in Scotland. It commemorates Sir William Wallace, a 13th-century Scottish hero.
You can purchase some of the photographs from here:
Safety Note: This flight was conducted in conjunction with Stirling Council, Stirling District Tourism and Scotdrone. Police Scotland were also notified of the intended flight. Only a CAA approved PFCO pilot can negotiate permission to operate from Abbey Craig and that is the only take off/landing location to legally gain sufficient altitude to be higher than the top of the monument.
Cheers,
Thomas.
